M&M Engineering’s Port aux Basque Facilities
Available for Large Scale $50 million to $200 million dollar projects

The offshore fabrication facility is located at Port-Aux-Basques, on the South West Coast of Newfoundland. The facilities are of such a physical size that nearly any type of fabrication and outfitting project can be totally constructed and outfitted indoors, unaffected by climatic conditions resulting in optimum performance and delivery schedules. The facilities are positioned in an all season port with year-round access to major sea routes. The facilities are designed for fabricating and outfitting:

Modules, tanks, cells, nodes, skids, stacks for the developing offshore industry.
    Transport and oil storage barges.
    Ship repair and maintenance.

    Facilities

The facility encompasses 40 acres of serviced land and includes two fabrication buildings.

The main fabrication building which was built in 1992 has a production area of 43,000 square feet and is 460 feet in length, 98 feet in width, with a height of 44 feet in the pre-assembly area and 93 feet in the main assembly area. There are 1,453 square feet of office space. Building craneage includes two 50-tonne cranes each with 32 feet below the hook, and one crane of 135 tonne capacity with 72 feet below the hook. The fabrication building includes the pre-assembly shop, the final assembly shop, maintenance building, and offices.

The auxiliary production building has a production area of 82,882 square feet and consists of a plasma cutting shop, exotic metals shop, preparation shop, warehouse and an additional 15,920 square feet of office space. The building measures 505 feet in length, 164 feet in width and 54 feet in height. Building craneage includes two units of 50-tonne capacity with 43 feet below the hook, one unit of seven tonne capacity, one unit of three tonne capacity, and one 7.5-tonne unit all having 28 feet below the hook.

The loadout dock is located 11 feet above the mean water level with a water depth at low tide of approximately 23 feet.
